Typically, yet another Labor Minister uses the politics of smear to defend his own conduct. The hypocrisy is simply astounding by this mob.  Labor politicians continue to accuse the Opposition of using smear and of being negative when it is Labor alone, that is indulging in this kind of dirty politics and in continuing to do so, have firmly planted their collective feet in the land of negativity.

But don’t wait for the Left-wing dominated media to point that one out.  They too, in order to distract us from Labor’s bad behaviour, will sell the line that the Opposition is just as bad. Laurie Oakes is a very good example of someone who uses that kind of ‘dirty’ media strategy and by doing so, wants to fool the public into believing that he is balanced when he clearly isn’t.

Greg Combet, normally civilised, has clearly taken the lead of his Prime Minister.

Yet again Gillard, rather than answer questions about her role in the AWU fraud, instead as a distraction, falsely blames Opposition Leader Tony Abbott for the ongoing investigation. Ms Gillard’s slur is way out of order when it is actually journalists like, Walkley award winning, Hedley Thomas in The Australian and others at Fairfax and beyond who are conducting the investigation. It has nothing to do with Tony Abbott and Gillard knows it, but continues to lie and smear to avoid answering questions.

Sure, Julie Bishop is asking the questions in parliament partly based on those investigations but she has every right to do so. It wasn’t long ago that Labor, the ABC and many others tried to make a big deal of what Tony Abbott allegedly did at university 35 years ago.  Now the ABC  won’t even mention the AWU scandal.  The Left are such hypocrites!

Greg Combet covers his own lying by accusing Tony Abbott of lying in relation to climate change and the carbon tax. This from the man who told us, following Julia Gillard’s 15 minute, vile attack on Opposition Leader Tony Abbott – falsely calling him a misogynist, sexist and a woman-hater,  that the name calling should stop when he said this on ABC television;

“People outside politics would ‘prefer politicians to get off name-calling and get on with the business of government.” 

About 30 seconds later in the same interview revealing his own hypocrisy, Combet then said this about Tony Abbott; “He’s a very aggressive, arrogant sort of fellow and he likes to lead a lynch mob.”

Then a few days later he said this about Tony Abbott, who he accused of lying in relation to climate change and the carbon tax;

“Everything he has said about this issue – to be frank about it and so we don’t misunderstand anything I’m saying – has been complete bullshit.”

Charming turn of phrase from a Labor Federal Minister, who wants the name-calling to stop and given the rubbish Mr. Combet has said about climate change and in support of the carbon tax, the shoe is actually on the other foot.

Both Julia Gillard and Greg Combet have misled the Australian public on what other countries are doing to cut emissions. Gillard claimed that China is closing one coal-fired power station around every fortnight but did not say that they are in fact continuing to build a multitude of new and bigger coal-fired power stations to replace the old ones.

Combet continues to lie about China using far more renewable energy sources when in fact, the sources of renewable energy he is referring to is the manufacture of solar panels not China’s use of them. China uses less than 5% of the solar panels it manufactures and their contribution to China’s power grid is negligible.

While China stokes up its production of solar panels they are not for use in China but to sell to the rest of the world including Australia.  We, like many other stupid countries around the globe, buy the solar panels and in doing so, help China increase its emissions. Further when they arrive on our docks, the price of each solar panel is increased dramatically to make ‘going solar’ a very expensive exercise when it needn’t be.

Further, Labor has clearly discriminated against people who can’t afford solar energy by forcing then to pay more for their electricity to subsidise those who can afford solar energy with Labor government grants paid for by the taxpayer.  This from the party that employs the rhetoric ‘For Working Families’ when their actions indicate that they really couldn’t give a damn about Australians.

Incidentally, Labor banned plastic bags in most states and replaced them with plastic bags from China. Again boosting China’s CO2 emissions and the bags are less biodegradable than the plastic bags we used to use. It won’t be too long before disposal of the Chinese manufactured bags will be a far bigger problem than the disposal of the previous plastic bags.

Combet’s bullsh..t doesn’t end there.

He talks about China cutting emissions when IEA (International Energy Agency) projections reveal that, not only is China the world’s biggest emitter of CO2, but it is on course to increase its annual CO2 emissions by over 2.5 million tonnes a year. That’s 16 times more than the proposed cuts in Australia (a mere 150,000 tonnes) and for Australia, much of that relies on buying pieces of paper from Europe, supposedly representing cuts over there to add to the 50,000 tonnes per year.

The European ETS has already experienced acts of fraud at a high level with regard to carbon credits and I can’t wait for the mugs in Australia to pay big money for these suspicious bits of paper claiming to have cleaned up the air we breathe. Again Combet and Gillard’s description of CO2 being ‘carbon pollution’ is their biggest lie when without CO2 we would die – it is clearly not pollution. Then of course there’s Julia Gillard’s; ‘There will be no carbon tax under the government I lead.”

But the BS gets worse. India is on a similar path and when combined with China’s emissions it amounts to 90 times more than our proposed cuts. It clearly  shows how ridiculous the Labor Government’s carbon tax and RET taxes are, when all this financial pain will achieve absolutely nought in reducing emissions. Even if it did, any reduction on our part would be absolutely nullified by China’s out put of CO2, let alone India’s. Gillard and Combet seem to think that Australia’s atmosphere is isolated, protected by walls and a ceiling – could you be any more insane?

The UK Met Office recently revealed that for the last 16 years there has been no rise in temperatures around the globe – so much for the nasty CO2 that pervades our atmosphere. So much for our free and balanced press that this important fact has not made it to our newspapers or television news.  Although 16 years is a relatively short time in the life of our planet, you can’t say that CO2 is increasing temperatures and not have an increase over that 16 year period. Particularly when the climate warmists have been using relatively short periods of time to support their modelling and to suggest that temperatures are rising due to CO2.

Mr. Combet regularly tells porkies rather than admit that Labor is increasing the cost of living and in particular, taxing a basic necessity like electricity for no tangible gain, as it will make absolutely no difference to the climate.

Economists have reported that the carbon tax is increasing our electricity bills by 14.9% and not the below 10% that Combet insists on. Of course that’s just part of the cost increases incurred by the carbon tax.

We use electricity for just about everything we do. Forget what we use in our homes. It’s used in retail shops and stores, all government buildings, in the manufacture of everything we consume, in the delivery of everything we consume, whether in making packaging, lighting in stores and in the refrigeration of goods.

Combet and Gillard like to pretend that it will only affect the cost of electricity in our homes but it is all those ‘invisible’ increases forced upon us by companies in the sale of their goods.

The government has deliberately created ‘carbon cops’ and legislated for huge fines to scare the living daylights out of any company that dares mention the carbon tax as justification for a price rise. But every time you go to the supermarket you can bet that any increase in the basic things you buy has been affected by the carbon tax and the RET.

Yes, Mr Combet you really are the Master of Bullsh..t’.

You and your Labor mob put Tony Abbott in the shade when it comes to negativity, lying and smear. You also prove beyond any shadow of doubt that all politicians are not the same. Labor and its Left-wing supporters are on their own planet as far as that deceitful behaviour is concerned.
