GILLARD LAUNCHES NEW COMEDY DUO WEASEL & FUDGE
By Kevin Glancy
Not satisfied with the performance of Sleaze & Smear Julia Gillard has scraped the barrel of entertainment and introduced Weasel & Fudge to Australian audiences.
Just like her Labor colleagues, having lost any respect for the legal process with regard to the ongoing appeal in the Slipper case, the Prime Minister has gone on the attack accusing Tony Abbott of using weasel words and fudge words to defend himself.
Just in case Weasel & Fudge didn’t make us laugh Gillard then delivered the punch line in her regular stand-up routine.
“Mr Abbott has to extract himself and his political party from the filth they’re rolling in,” she told ABC radio on Friday.
‘The filth they’re rolling in’ what a class act is our Julia but her comedy routine didn’t stop there and she was determined to bring the house down with her next little gem.
“And the only way of doing that will be by coming clean.” Get it? Rolling in filth – coming clean? Is there no end to that lady’s incredible way with words for the sake of humour?
She didn’t stop there.
In reference to Malcolm Brough’s involvement in the Slipper case, Gillard said Mr Brough had been “anything but transparent”, and had used the case as a political tool to change the balance of power in parliament.
This particular claim was an absolute hoot for her audience who were amazed at her sheer audacity. They all knew that it was our Julia who had appointed Slipper ‘to change the balance of power in parliament’ in the first place.
“Ah! Trust our Julia to bring out the old double standard!” They roared before Julia then brought her new comedy duo back on stage.
“Mr Abbott’s answer … is weasel words,” Ms Gillard said, as the audience fell about in the aisles and she questioned what knowledge the Opposition Leader had about the Slipper case.
Knowing that she had the audience mesmerised she followed that up with;
“Mr Abbott is using fudge words to stop coming clean about this matter.” By now the audience could hardly take anymore with tears rolling down their faces.
But our Julia had saved the best till last as she brought out the old routine – Sleaze & Smear and turned her usual double standard into a triple somersault with pike by delivering a line that would surely split their sides.
“Australians wanted to move on from the cycle of sleaze and smear and negativity and start looking at the real issues.”
The audience saw the irony and they roared with laughter – knowing that it was Gillard and her mob who are the only ones insulting anyone.
But an encore was to come.
“I want Australian politics to be a red-hot debate about the issues. But before that happened, Mr Abbott needed to extract himself from “the pile of mud” he was standing in.” She said trying to keep a straight face.
But the audience got it and did they laugh. But who could blame them.
Sleaze, smear, fudge and a pile of mud – what a delightfully funny and sticky combination! I can’t wait for the next dirty word delivered by this classy lady.
With that she brought the house down and the crowd went home satisfied that they had witnessed yet another absolutely awesome comedy performance from Dame Julia Gillard.
What with Sleaze & Smear supported by Weasel & Fudge and punk band Negativity there’ll be no stopping her now.
There’s not much to laugh about in Australian politics but I can’t wait for more election campaign gems introduced by this lovable stateswoman in 2013. You’ve got to hand it to her – Gillard might have destroyed the country but she certainly doesn’t stop trying to make us laugh.

Really amazing what comes out of Julia’s mouth. Does she ever say anything positive about anyone!!!
